CRC Industries introduces Ambersil Hydropower a powerful new industrial water-based degreaser, as part of Green Force®, its new eco-friendly product platform. This platform targets industrial users who aim to reduce their environmental impact while maintaining product efficiency.
The new Ambersil Hydropower degreaser is a water-based, NSF approved, neutral pH solution, that excels with its professional formula, proving as effective as conventional solvent-based cleaners. It quickly and safely removes, grease, oil, lubricants, grime, and other tough contaminants from mechanical parts and surfaces.
Hydropower is an eco-friendly degreaser with a water-based formula that is easily biodegradable (≥ 60% according to OECD 301). It contains no harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or hydrocarbon solvents and is non-flammable. Its aerosol is free of hazard symbols, ensuring it protects both the environment and user health, making it a reliable alternative to conventional solvent-based cleaners.
Using this degreaser supports the broader initiative of reducing the environmental impact.
NSF-certified ‘Food Processing Safe’ maintenance solutions
The new Hydropower degreaser is part of the NSF certified – ‘Food Processing safe’ (FPS) range of products that have been specifically developed to meet the strict requirements of the food, beverage and packaging Industry on easy maintenance and safe protection of machines and consumers.
Featured under the Green Force® platform
The new Hydropower cleaner is featured under CRC Industries’ new sustainable Green Force® platform, ensuring compliance with current environmental regulations.
Ambersil has set out to meet these objectives with its new Green Force® eco-platform: a suite of degreaser, lubricant, and speciality formulations which have been analysed against specific scientific criteria matched to user ESG demands. For instance, the products are readily biodegradable, independently verified, feature low (<10%) or no VOCs, and no nasty or environmental health warnings. In fact, these products only tend to carry one standard warning symbol, which relates to flammability, typical of many aerosol products.
As a mandatory requirement Green Force products must be readily biodegradable according to test OECD A-F (>60%). To provide some perspective: if the substance drips on ground >60% must disappear within 28 days. The products must also meet one or more of the following three general criteria:
low (<10%) or no VOC formula; >50% renewable material or bio-based product; >50% water-based formula.
All Green Force products must also meet a further five criteria, which are expandable in line with the introduction of new legislation. Products that meet the criteria will carry the Green Force logo on their label artwork with support provided by a certificate of conformity for use during auditing. Detailed criteria and their explanations are available at crcind.info/CRC_GreenForce
