Editorial Standards
PRN reports the news accurately and fairly, from a conservative point of view. These standards govern everything we publish.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify before we publish. Any contested or potentially damaging factual claim is attributed to a named, citable source, such as a public record, court filing, official statement, or on-the-record interview. We require at least two independent sources, including at least one primary or established source, before publishing a contested factual claim. We link to primary documents wherever possible so readers can see the basis for our reporting.
Fairness
Even with a clear editorial point of view, we seek and include the response of any person or organization we criticize, or note that comment was requested. We criticize records, policies, statements, and arguments, never a person's protected identity.
News and opinion
We keep straight news and opinion clearly separated. Commentary and columns appear in our Opinion section and are labeled as such. News reporting is not mixed with editorializing.
How our content is produced
PRN uses AI-assisted research and drafting tools as part of its newsroom workflow. All content is produced under human editorial oversight and reviewed for accuracy, sourcing, and fairness both before and after publication. Editorial responsibility for everything we publish rests with PRN.
Elections and civic information
We report on elections and civic processes accurately and source claims to official, authoritative information. We report allegations as allegations and provide official context.
